Superstar architects Herzog & de Meuron's Tate Modern extension has been in the works for some time, but the project has now been granted planning permission for its geometric design. The museum hopes to be finished in time for London's 2012 Olympic games—just in time for Egypt to stop by and request its pyramids back.
