The title of this year's creative conference is SPEED2, envisioned as a response to our fast changing world, the conference will once again gather mould breaking thinkers and present the most creative and innovative ideas, bridging the gap between global standards and local business. Satellite event BELGRADE2 will again mobilize creative capacities of the city through numerous exhibitions, discussion forums, workshops and presentation turning it into creative capital of SEE Europe. This year BDW was recognized by the renowned London Design Week as one of the five most important events in Europe.
In partnership with USAID Competitiveness Project, in 2009, Belgrade Design Week will, for the first time ever, feature a "Serbian Eco-Friendly Home Seating" design competition. During Belgrade Design Week, for the first time will be organised Design Park. This shall certainly be one of the most interesting events of the Belgrade Design Week, marking the epicenter of congregation between business and creative forces in Serbia and the region. As an inspirational retrospective of contemporary design - DESIGN PARK will present designers, importers, distributors and manufacturers of furniture and home objects in general, from Serbia, and worldwide. As an exclusive showcase of the Serbian and regional creative scene, DESIGN PARK is a marvelous opportunity for the presentation of ad-agencies, design, architecture, urban planning and branding studios, photographers, animators,, production houses, event organizers, illustrators, universities, media, technology/multimedia studios, developers etc through own, themed presentations.
