A quick refresh for our Gucci-embedded cerebellum: the Italian fashion house’s pop-up venture is still going on all over the world since it hit New York City last October with full force, bringing together the high fashion crowd and urban sneaker fiends together under the same roof on Crosby Street. Now, the Gucci Icon-Temporary flash sneaker store has heeded the London calling and will be arriving in the house of Big Ben and the Clash on April 22.
For those who still remember the New York City opening, the Gucci Icon-Temporary pop-up not only houses exclusive sneaker styles from the Icon Temporary collection, but special location specific Gucci Ronson sneakers (as the namesake suggests, these are collaborative sneakers created by Gucci with musician Mark Ronson) will also be released.
Going into the specifics, 15 men’s sneakers and two women’s styles alongside the exclusive limited edition Gucci Ronson sneaker will be available at the pop-up store. While the previous Gucci Ronson releases have spotted color-blocked boat shoe sneakers in yellow and indigo (and in different material and tops), the London version is quite summery and mod in contrasting black-and-white polka dots. Aside from the spotted low-top, the hi-top version is crafted from a very dandy herringbone tweed.
