Second KanYeezy Release At St. Alfred's

ST. ALFRED'S press release from Krabby Rangoon:

Our concept for this release was to re-create the shoe within the
store. We did this buy covering the floor in a glow in the dark paint
to represent the sole.. I was able to find a paint in Maryland that
actually glowed as bright as the Yeezy's do after being exposed to
ligt.. if you look at the pic of the shoe on the floor you will see
green around it.. that's the floor glowing and not light being cast
down. Since we couldn't flip the entire store we built a set within
the store, when the customers came in they walked into a black room
with a glowing floor, pink accents, and smoke from a fog machine to
represent the grey around the toe.

Our line started on Weds the 29th and hit capacity early Thursday
morning.. as the build out was too large to pre-fab and bring in we
had to close at 6pm Friday night to start the construction. We opened
around 1am to a very eager crowd of tired people.. Upon opening we
had the customers come in one at a time, after each person left we
paused the line and brought out the flood lights to charge up the
floor and shoes so every person had the same experience with shoes and
floor glowing insanely bright. It was awesome.

I noticed when we did the last event that we lost a lot of the "glow"
effect to ambient light
from outside. This time we blacked out all the windows and doors,
leaving only our "A" logo on the door in Hot Pink as a marker of where
they were and what was going on. This also allowed us to give each
person a private experience. Most these guys had been in line for 3
days, each of them in and out of the shop a few times each day.. they
thought they were gonna be coming into the Saint Alfred they knew.
The initial
reaction on their face was the best part for me.

Also, we had our front gate painted to match tees we created for this
event, you will see it in the pics sitting under the shoe.

We sold the shoes for $300. Each person getting the tee we created
for free and one of the customers pair being free via a random number
drawing..
